Colloidal fuels present a low cost solution for power generation in boilers as an alternative to Heavy Fuel Oil. This is possible, thanks to their colloidal structure which allows inexpensive solid fuels to be transformed into easy to transport liquid fuels with high burning efficiency.

Colloidal fuels may be used in different industries.

Power generators that use expensive liquid fuels may lower their generation costs using colloidal fuels as main boiler fuel.

Also, colloidal fuels may be inserted in the refining industry, adding value to petcoke produced in deep conversion refineries. Furthermore, colloidal fuels may be used in boilers for steam and power generation, as well as furnaces in processing units within the refinery.
